Artistic Staff

Denise Hayes – Artistic Director, Director of Treble Singers, Covenant Choir and Kindred Singers

Denise Hayes is a choral music educator with over 30 years of experience teaching children and youth.  She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Bucknell University, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  Denise’s graduate studies include coursework at Westminister Choir College of Rider University, West Chester and Temple Universities.  She has taught in elementary, middle and high schools in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, directing award-winning choirs.  She is the former center director of Music Together® of Lawrenceville. 

Janet DeFreitas – Director of Youth Ensemble

Janet DeFreitas earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the State University College of New York at Fredonia. She received a Master of Music in Music Therapy from Temple University.  Her work experience has included a variety of populations from infants to geriatrics. She has been active in music ministry for many years, and currently directs the Children’s Choir at St. Bartholomew Church in East Brunswick, New Jersey. Janet is a former home schooling mom and enjoys sharing that her children were among the founding members of PAHC. 

Grace Henrie – Director of Stepping Stones and Pathways

A graduate of Cedarville College, Grace holds a degree in elementary education with a music specialization.  She has taught elementary school and has homeschooled her four sons through eighth grade.  Grace has served as both adult and children’s choir director at Westerly Road Church.  She has completed the First Steps in Music program, with John Feierabend, a leading early childhood music educator.  Grace enjoys sharing her love of music with children.  

Mark Hahn – Accompanist

Mark Hahn received his Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from Philadelphia College of Bible.  He currently serves as Director of Music at Montgomery Evangelical Free Church, in Belle Mead, NJ, where he oversees a complete graded instrumental and vocal program.  Mark performs as a soloist and accompanist in the local and metropolitan areas, and is a composer/arranger of works for piano, orchestra, and choir.  His pieces have been published by Choristers Guild, Lorenz and Roger Dean.    

Hilary Orlando – Accompanist

Hilary Orlando holds a in Bible and a B.Mus degree in Church Music from Cairn University. She also holds a M.Mus degree in Sacred Music from Westminster Choir College of Rider University. Orlando is an active pianist as a recitalist, accompanist and church musician. Hilary has held teaching positions at Philadelphia Christian Center, North Branch Reformed Church Preschool, Csehy Summer School of Music, and Cairn University. Orlando is currently the organ instructor at Cairn University. She holds private organ and piano lessons.


Administrative Staff

Steve and Debbie Stasolla – Managing Directors

Steve and Debbie Stasolla homeschooled their now 22 year old son Cord, who was a PAHC chorister for 11 years. Steve has served seven years on the PAHC Board and is currently Chair. Debbie is serving her first year on the Board as Treasurer after having served on the Advisory Board and assisted PAHC with its strategic plan. They have been the PAHC winter and spring concert managers for many years. Steve has a bachelors degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and Debbie holds bachelor and masters degrees from Adelphi and Rider Universities. 

Carol Huntley-Jones – Administrator

Prior to serving as PAHC Administrator, Carol was a member of the PAHC Board of Directors for three years. She worked for sixteen years for the computer firm Digital Equipment Corporation, in Operations and Administration. Carol currently teaches enrichment classes at the Stone Hill Learning Center. She is the homeschooling mother of three daughters.

Barbara Cerha – Uniform Coordinator

Barb graduated from Dordt College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She has held a variety of administrative positions overseeing areas of purchasing, sales, personnel and inventory. More recently, she has served on the Homeschoolers Support Network Board, helping to expand opportunities for homeschool families in the local area. Barb is the homeschooling mother of five children.

Sanja Dimic - Bookkeeper

Sanja studied Business and Philosophy at Michigan State University before deciding to work full time at various retail opportunities. She first read about homeschooling while pregnant with her oldest child in South Africa, and has never looked back. She now homeschools all four of her children, and loves to travel and learn new things with them. 

Terry Gilleland – Uniform Manager

Terry received a Masters in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University in 1995. She worked as a research scientist in the Princeton area for 13 years before becoming a stay-at-home mother of a son and daughter. In 2011, she began homeschooling her children and continues to discover the joys and challenges of homeschooling. She learned to hem pants during her son's first year in choir. Terry teaches mathematics at Stone Hill Learning Center and hopes to infuse math instruction with examples from science and engineering.
