The Choir philosophy springs from the understanding that every child is innately musical and therefore capable of artistic growth and musical development. This belief is the foundation for a program that provides developmentally appropriate music instruction at all levels in an atmosphere of joyful music-making. Children are encouraged to engage in and to grow musically through singing, instrument play and movement. In the older divisions, choristers are challenged to pursue musical and artistic excellence through the study and performance of repertoire from various style periods. The Princeton Area Homeschool Choir operates within a Judeo-Christian framework, with the underlying conviction that music is a gift from God to be used for His glory. Both sacred and secular music are employed, and the texts are freely explored as a part of the artistic process.
